Unfortunately, grant applications from different funders usually vary in proposal format, documentation requirements and budget templates, which can present a significant challenge, particularly to smaller to mid-sized organizations. Moreover, applications for smaller grants often call for the same demanding proposal and reporting requirements as the larger ones, which often strain their limited capacity.

http://www.managementconsultingservices.org/node/90#comments Development Fri, 27 Jun 2008 15:13:26 -0400 Gene Lee 90 at http://www.managementconsultingservices.org Do the grant application flaws identified by Project Streamline reflect your own experience? http://www.managementconsultingservices.org/node/88
First read Gene Lee's Blog which summarizes "Drowning in Paperwork, Distracted from Purpose" (http://www.managementconsultingservices.org/node/90).
http://www.managementconsultingservices.org/node/88#comments What's Wrong with the Grant Application and Reporting Processes Development Philanthropy Fri, 27 Jun 2008 14:39:07 -0400 Christina Yoon 88 at http://www.managementconsultingservices.org Has a funder ever asked you how they can improve their application and reporting process, and if so, what did you say to them? http://www.managementconsultingservices.org/node/87
First read Gene Lee's Blog which summarizes "Drowning in Paperwork,
Distracted from Purpose"
http://www.managementconsultingservices.org/node/87#comments What's Wrong with the Grant Application and Reporting Processes Development Philanthropy Fri, 27 Jun 2008 14:24:28 -0400 Christina Yoon 87 at http://www.managementconsultingservices.org Make suggestions on how to address the flaws in the grant application and reporting process http://www.managementconsultingservices.org/node/86
First read Gene Lee's Blog which summarizes "Drowning in Paperwork,
Distracted from Purpose"

What’s the one thing that you feel foundations
could change about their grant application and reporting process that would
have immediate long-term and value-added benefit for your organization?

http://www.managementconsultingservices.org/node/86#comments What's Wrong with the Grant Application and Reporting Processes Development Philanthropy Fri, 27 Jun 2008 14:21:47 -0400 Christina Yoon 86 at http://www.managementconsultingservices.org Weathering the economic downturn: Maintaining a robust fundraising operation during tough economic times http://www.managementconsultingservices.org/node/84
We've all seen it: donors are holding off on making charitable gifts, smaller gifts are being given, there are fewer new donors and campaigns are slowing down. Last week I attended a forum sponsored by Citizens Bank entitled, "Fundraising in a difficult economic environment" which featured keynote speaker Ruben Orduña, VP Development at the Boston Foundation. He offered up some practical suggestions of what you can do to weather the economic storm.

http://www.managementconsultingservices.org/node/84#comments Development Donor Relations Stewardship Mon, 16 Jun 2008 15:46:12 -0400 Christina Yoon 84 at http://www.managementconsultingservices.org Trends in corporate philanthropy - Wal-Mart's example http://www.managementconsultingservices.org/node/83
A recent trend in corporate philanthropy has been for a company to be more strategic with its foundation giving by aligning it with the company’s brand and goals.
